Arianna Fox on Air – WBOC16 DelmarvaLife TV

Heart Pounding. 3, 2, 1 LIVE!

Heart pounding, pulse beating, breaths heavy. It was two minutes until I was to be featured on WBOC16 DelmarvaLife TV, and I was honestly a bit nervous. But when I sat down in that chair and met Jimmy’s and Lisa’s gaze for the first time, I immediately felt comfortable and excited to rock this thing.

I had never been on TV before, so I must say the entire process was 100% new to me. It was so amazing and so cool when I saw the way they created it in the backend, and the “behind-the-scenes”. It was so, so incredible!

Warm & Friendly.

Jimmy and Lisa were very warm, friendly and outgoing, and it was a pleasure to work with them and the entire crew who helped put this entire thing together.

Here below is our interview transcript:

Lisa: Our next guest has a vision to reach out to others and spread messages of hope, inspiration and self-confidence.

Jimmy: She is an innovator; she is an entrepreneur; she is an inspirational speaker; she is an author. She’s not even in high school yet! We’d like to introduce to you this afternoon kidpreneur Arianna Fox. It’s nice to meet you! Actually, we’ve met you before – you’ve been on the show before.

Arianna: Yes, I have, with my parents who are marriage coaches, Mike and Trisha Fox.

Jimmy: That’s right! Okay. So, we’re here to talk about you today. Now, I’ve got to ask you about this – your experience in leadership started when your parents made you the Junior Marketing Director for the family business, right?

Arianna: Yes, that’s correct.

Jimmy: And, how old are you?

Arianna: I’m 12.

Jimmy: 12, okay. So, what was the family business, and what was your job?

Arianna: Well, actually, the family business is still going, and it is Splash Designworks, and I was actually the Junior Marketing Director probably when I was around six years old. I was just following my parents around in mixers, and even giving my spiel to people.

Lisa: Wow. At six. Okay, so that inspired you to want to motivate others, to achieve their goals – business goals – so you started a business called Big Ideas Kid Coaching.

Arianna: That’s right.

Lisa: Tell us about it!

Arianna: So, basically Big Ideas Kid Coaching is a business for inspiring people on a professional level. So, it’s actually for inspirational speaking, authoring, inspiring people, basically.

Jimmy: And you have been a Keynote speaker for many organizations – you’ve got to listen to this, these events around the region: Northern Star Children’s Foundation, the Delaware Multicultural and Civic Organization… What is that like?

Arianna: Amazing, actually. I just love inspiring people, and I love being able to impact somebody’s life and change their life forever. It’s like this saying I came up with – to shine; shine a light; light a spark; spark a fire.

Lisa: Wow. I could use some of your services! I have problems talking to people. Okay, you said once in an interview with Milford LIVE that you want kids to not be afraid to dream big, and see that they can easily overcome obstacles like shyness, the fear of failure, and putting too much time and thought into what others think. We need you! How do you overcome things like that?

Arianna: Well, you overcome obstacles just by knowing that they don’t set you back. In fact, mistakes are a part of the journey. What I like to tell people a lot is that you only fail when you give up, and that mistakes are part of the journey. Just dust off and keep going.

Jimmy: And keep going. You are incredible! You are an author. You have a book called The Princess Chronicles: Not Your Average Princesses. Is that what this one is? Tell me what this is about.

Arianna: That is about these princesses who are friends, and they are learning kindness, friendship, forgiveness – all those important qualities – trust, teamwork, honesty.

Lisa: Wow. That’s not the only book that you’ve written.

Arianna: No! Not at all! That’s actually just a children’s book. In fact, my other book is called False Awakening, and that is a novel which is for teens and young adults, and that is a fiction novel about a man who’s in a dream within a dream within a dream within a dream. He joins a Rebellion and fights against an evil tyrant.

Lisa: I like the sound of that! In addition to all of that, you’re also a monthly contributor to a magazine called K.I.S.H. What are some of the topics you write about?

Arianna: All kinds of things! Actually, a lot of the topics that I speak about, as well. I think my most recent one was The Rise of the Young Entrepreneurs, which is about – as the title may suggest – young kidpreneurs who are basically succeeding in their life and rising up to be stars. A lot of my other ones are about the same kind of topics: Overcoming fear, overcoming obstacles, achieving your success.

Jimmy: I’m almost afraid to ask this question! What are your plans for the future?

Arianna: My overall goal, to be honest with you, is just to inspire people and to impact them – set them in a new direction and change them for the rest of their lives.

Lisa: What do you see yourself when you do become an adult? What do you aspire to do?

Arianna: I don’t even know! I mean, I’ve always wanted to be an author, but I actually am, so…

Lisa: You’ve already hit that goal!

Arianna: Yeah, so I guess what I aspire to do is just to write more books; to have lots of published books in the future.

Lisa: I think that’s going to happen. I have a funny feeling that’s going to happen. Arianna Fox – kidpreneur, author, speaker… Just overall, a great person.

Arianna: Thank you so much. Thank you for having me!
